The Carers Centre Southampton
Carers & Family Support · Charity · Southampton
Support for unpaid carers in Southampton including advice, breaks, peer support and emergency planning.
Carers in Southampton is a free service for adults caring unpaid for a family member, friend or neighbour with additional support needs, based behind the Post Office on Portswood Road. The phone line on 023 8058 2387 runs Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm. Statutory carer assessments identify needs, eligibility and any discretionary personal budget. Support workers give information, service navigation and onward referral, issue carer cards offering identity and discounts and run regular information sessions. The office is not a drop-in and is not fully accessible, so face-to-face contact requires an appointment.
