The Next Chapter (formerly Colchester & Tendring Women's Refuge) is a domestic abuse charity covering Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Maldon, Tendring and Uttlesford, offering refuge accommodation, community outreach, recovery programmes and tailored support for women, children and young people, and men. Specialist services include The Nest supported accommodation, #TrueNotToxic, Hand in Hand, Tribe and work in schools. Self-referrals are accepted via the website and a 24-hour helpline runs on 0330 333 7444 or 01206 500585.
