Stockport day centre and foodbank providing food, showers, clothing, advice and health services for homeless and disadvantaged people.
The Wellspring supports people in Stockport who are homeless or at risk of losing their home. Free food and drinks are served 365 days a year, with daily drop-ins 11.30am-2pm and evening sessions Monday-Thursday 6.30-8pm. The centre also offers hot showers, clothing, a nurse twice a week and a doctor twice a week, plus classes in English, maths, IT and art. Specialist workers give housing, debt, jobs and benefits advice. People can drop in without referral, and social prescribers, GPs and outreach teams refer regularly.
