Southend-on-Sea U3A is a self-help, self-managed lifelong learning cooperative for retired or semi-retired people. Members share a wide range of interest groups, with weekly meetings on Tuesdays 2pm-4pm at Westcliff Free Church, Leigh-on-Sea. Membership £10/year.

Who they help: Adults aged 50+ who are no longer in full-time work
Eligibility: Retired or semi-retired adults
Area covered: Leigh-on-Sea
Not suitable for: This group is for people aged 50 and over who are no longer in full-time work and who live in the Southend or Leigh area. There is also a small annual membership fee of £10. It is not suitable if you are working full-time or live outside Southend or Leigh.
