UCAN scheme matching trained volunteers one-to-one with Uttlesford residents who have lost confidence to walk outdoors.
UCAN Walking Buddies matches an Uttlesford resident who has lost confidence or struggles with anxiety with a DBS and reference-checked volunteer for one-to-one walks. The same buddy attends each walk to build a friendship, with times and routes arranged between the pair. Volunteers receive appropriate training.
