Wallsend Childrens Community (WCC) was set up by Save the Children in 2017 as a catalyst for local change in NE28, and now operates as an independent charity. WCC tackles inequalities for children alongside families, schools, charities, healthcare and statutory services, focusing on home, school and community life across education, health and wellbeing. They run community engagement events, parent voice projects, school holiday programmes and partnership work that connects local services and amplifies family voices in planning.
