Specialist domestic abuse, counselling and careers support for women across Hertfordshire, with a focus on Watford and south-west Herts.
Watford Womens Centre, established in 1989, operates from 83 Market Street, Watford WD18 0PT, opening Monday to Friday 9.30am to 4.30pm. Services include the free Thursday lunchtime Job Club, careers advice and the Connect to Work programme, ESOL, IT and employability courses, professional counselling, free legal appointments with local solicitors, mental health support and foodbank vouchers. Specialist domestic abuse support has a dedicated hotline on 01923 927500. The charity holds Matrix and Cyber Essentials Plus accreditations and partners with Job Centre Plus.

Who it's for
Who they help: Women experiencing or recovering from domestic abuse, sexual violence or relationship breakdown.
Eligibility: Women aged 18+ living or working in Hertfordshire. Domestic abuse support is free; counselling is low-cost.
Area covered: Watford
Not suitable for: Most services are only for women aged 18 and over. Men experiencing domestic abuse should contact the Herts Domestic Abuse Helpline or Respect Men's Advice Line.
