Volunteer-driver scheme for medical appointments and essential journeys in West Berkshire.
Volunteer Centre West Berkshire runs the Newbury Volunteer Car and Driver Scheme alongside the Newbury Handybus, helping people who find public transport difficult, including older or disabled residents, get to GP and hospital appointments, shops and social events. A separate Hungerford office serves Lambourn, Eastbury, Great Shefford, East Garston and surrounding villages. The main centre is at Broadway House, Newbury, open weekdays 10am to 1pm on 01635 49004.
