Trussell Trust foodbank in Widnes providing three days of emergency food parcels by voucher referral.
Widnes Foodbank is one of over 400 foodbanks in the Trussell Trust network. Established in 2012, the foodbank provides emergency food parcels containing up to three days of nutritionally balanced food to people experiencing a temporary financial crisis. Vouchers are issued by participating referral agencies such as Citizens Advice, Jobcentre staff, social workers and doctors. Volunteers run distribution sessions at churches and community venues across Widnes and offer a listening ear alongside the food parcel.
