Community-led tool and equipment lending library in Wivenhoe enabling residents to borrow rather than buy household and DIY items.
Wivenhoe Library of Things, founded in 2024 by the Wivenhoe Net Zero Action Group, operates from The Old Station Masters House, Station Road, Wivenhoe CO7 9DJ, next to the train station. Residents can borrow tools, equipment and household items rather than buy new, with the motto Dont buy it, borrow it. The volunteer-run service is open Saturdays 10:00-11:30 and Wednesdays 18:30-19:30 and is building its catalogue through a community survey.
