Free support for unpaid carers of all ages in York including advice, groups and a young carers service from age five.

York Carers Centre offers free support to anyone caring unpaid for a family member or friend in the city of York. Services include one-to-one support, advice on rights and benefits, peer groups, a Carers Emergency Card Scheme and a specialist Young Carers service for children and young people aged five upwards. The Wednesday evening advice line runs until 8pm. Information is offered by phone, at the centre, in carers homes or another suitable place.
