York Foodbank is a Trussell Trust network of six city distribution centres providing three days of nutritionally balanced emergency food to people referred in crisis by frontline agencies. Centres include the Gateway in Acomb, Vineyard Church in Fishergate, Living Word in Huntington Road, St Josephs in Kingsway North, Cornerstone in Tang Hall and The Belfrey in the city centre. Each centre opens on a different weekday with set collection hours.
